Obituary, Chloe Forbes
Chloe Forbes, Bailey's Ravine's own Captain Hero, passed away at her home at 101 Forbes Lane early yesterday.
Mrs. Forbes is the 4th generation member of the prominent Forbes family, founded by Dr. Mark Forbes, to live at the estate on Forbes Road.
Chloe is survived by her daughter, Eileen, and her grandchildren Frank, Greg, and Henry. She is also survived by her brother, Pierce, and her sister Daphne.
A public memorial service will be held next week. The date will be announced in tomorrow's edition. A family funeral was held today at the family cemetery.
Many citizens may remember Mrs. Forbes from her involvement in the investigation of her husband's mysterious death and the subsequent attack of her daughter Eileen. That investigation led police to the arrest of mail carrier Dagmar Bertino, currently awaiting trial for her crimes in SimState Prison.
Eileen Forbes stated to the Times, "I primarily want my mother to be remembered for her work in this town, for the legacy she left for her grandchildren. However, I do understand that the arrest of Dagmar Bertino is part of our family history. I do wish Mom had lived to see the sentencing of Dagmar, the woman who killed her husband and attacked her family. However, I can only hope that she is looking down from Simeaven and will see justice be done."
Eileen presented the Times this collage with a personal message from her family for her mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Bailey's Ravine Law Enforcement Fund. This fund helps the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
