We visited former mail carrier and now alledged murderer Dagmar Bertino in SimState Prison. She granted only this paper, the Bailey's Ravine Times, an interview.
Q: Hello. Can you state your name for the paper?
A. My name is Dagmar Bertino.
Q. Thank you. Can you tell us why you are allowing this interview when your trial is scheduled for next month? Can you tell us how you are going to plead.
A. I am going to plead guilty, because I am guilty. I'm guilty of being in love. I was in love with Sean McGaw Forbes.
Q. Really? Did he return your feelings?
A. I thought he did. He was always so nice to me whenever I came by the house. He even invited me to his little girl's birthday party. But when I saw her, when I saw the house and his wife, I just knew that it should all be mine. I should have been his wife, the house should have been mine. The child should have been mine.
Q. What happened the night Sean McGaw Forbes died?
Attorney: You don't have to answer that. This will come out in the trial.
Q. What will you be pleading at your trial next week?
Attorney: She will will be pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder, however there are extenuating circumstances that will be brought to light at that time.
Q. Is there anything you would like to tell the Forbes family?
A. No, nothing. Sean was meant to be with me, and if I can't have him then neither can you.
