Generation 3 Begins
After we got back from our honeymoon Kay and I thought about starting a family. I wanted to get a job as a doctor, like my dad. Kay just wanted to have kids. She wanted a job, but she wasn't really sure what she wanted to do. She looked at the want ads for a while. She thought about working as an artist or in the paranormal field, but she couldn't find any job openings. So she decided to be a writer. She writes almost every day and already has a publisher interested in her book. She gets along great with Mom and Dad and we all enjoy being here together.
About a month or two after our wedding Kay started getting sick. She thought it was the flu but it kept hanging around. She went to the doctor and came home with the news - she was pregnant! We were so happy! Mom and Dad were thrilled! They really wanted a grandchild.
Mom got a bunch of bonuses at work when she was promoted to Mad Scientist. She was happy to have her goal reached. She cut back on her work hours and stayed home to help Kay. Kay got really tired during her pregnancy and found it hard to eat anything or do pretty much anything. When she felt good she would write or play the piano. Mom told Kay she didn't have to worry about working if she didn't want to because with the money she'd earned she could take care of us all. I told Mom that I still wanted to work, but thanks for making a way for Kay to stay home with our children.
This was taken the day Mom was promoted. She's still beautiful, isn't she?
