Kira's Missing, part 5
"This is DeeDee Malone reporting from the office of Judge Kirk Richards. Judge Richards presided over the case of Dagmar Bertino over 30 years ago. My grandmother was the reporter on that case, and it seems only fitting that I follow up in her footsteps. Now, Judge Richards, is it true that Dagmar Bertino has now kidnapped the current heir to the Forbes family estate, Kira Charvatt?"
"Yes, DeeDee. Apparently Dagmar contacted Lorelai Forbes Charvatt, Kira's mother, and told her that she had kidnapped her daughter and they would be leaving Bailey's Ravine soon. The police are on the case and have narrowed down the area where they believe Ms. Bertino is living."
"Didn't you request for Ms. Bertino to be released early, Judge Richards?"
"I did, but I had already retired at the time. The current judge didn't believe Ms. Bertino was ready to return to society, so he denied the petition from her and her attorney."
"Were you involved with Ms. Bertino, Judge?"
"Involved? Of course not! That's a ludicrus accusation!"
"Do you think Ms. Bertino will hurt the child?"
"I don't know, Ms. Malone. I just don't know."
"This is DeeDee Malone reporting. Back to you, Bob."
